LG G Pad 10.1 Overview
In 2013, LG released the original G Pad, to a round of applause from critics. WIth a high quality build, top of the range features usually reserved for high end smartphones, and a very competitive price, the G Pad was the tablet of choice for the savvy consumer.
Building on that success, LG have released a range of G Pads in 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 inch sizes to cater for a wider range of scenarios.
The G Pad 10.1 is positioned at the more affordable end of the market, available in a range of colours and a great option for anyone looking at full size tablets that wants to save some money and keep modern features, without needing the absolute highest end hardware.
High quality hardware
LG know that, for many of us, buying a piece of technology isn't just about how it works. There is also the desire to have something that looks pleasing and also lasts for a considerable length of time.
With the new G Pad range, LG has developed a soft touch backplate available in black and red, with more colours due in the future, as well as incorporating enough bezel to comfortably hold the tablet with one or two hands.
It's not all about the outside though, with LG taking care of what powers the new G Pad range. Other manufacturers are content with cheap processors of little-known quality, however LG have ensures a branded Qualcomm 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 is present. Coupled with 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 5 MP camera, the G Pad 10.1 ticks all the right boxes.
Up to date performance
Another stand out feature that sets the new G Pad range apart from the crowd is the installation of the newest version of Android. Version 4.4, known as KitKat, has been redesigned for a smoother experience on all device sizes and hardware configurations. This is also good news in terms of updates, as the G Pad will remain compatible with newer versions as time passes.
With KitKat comes support for the newest Google services and integration with Android Wear, the system powering the most recent smartwatches, fitness trackers and other wearable tech.
Expect smooth and seamless time spent using the new G Pad 10.1, safe in the knowledge that your choice of tablet will be rewarded with the same level of quality as technology progresses.
