Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (SIM Free / UK)
If purchasing for use outside of the EU, you may wish to read the information regarding the international region lock on new Samsung stock - please refer to the end of this description.
Using a pen and paper is something most of us around the world learn from a very early age. The two items work together to allow a communication and expression that is almost limitless.
In the modern and connected world such tools still exist, although the need to be digital is very much upon us. Since the introduction of the original Galaxy Note, the ability to converge physical and digital has only improved.
Samsung’s Note7 is the best pocketable example of such. It encompasses the very best of current mobile technology technology, allowing you to write, express and create with a stylus and large touchscreen. All the most desirable connectivity, security and productivity features available today are also included.
SIM Free / Unlocked UK stock
Clove Technology sell the official UK specification Samsung Galaxy Note7 SIM Free and factory unlocked for use on any UK / EU network.
This also has support for all global GSM networks; ensuring you remain connected wherever you may be.
For 4G / LTE support outside of the EU, please check the specifications and your local carrier, the likelihood is the Note 7 supports it.
Single / Dual SIM variants
Samsung manufacture both single and dual SIM configuration Note 7s , both of which use NANO SIM cards.
The official UK configuration sold by Clove is the single (one SIM slot) option, unless clearly marked within the product details at time of sale.
The dual SIM configuration allows for up to 2 SIM cards to be inserted into the Note 7. Use both a personal and work SIM card in the same phone or maybe a local and international SIM, the choice is yours. Or if you need only one SIM slot, leave the other empty.
Please note that the 2nd SIM card uses the microSD card slot, sacrificing the ability to expand the phones memory. This means you can use either 2 SIM cards and no MicroSD memory card in the Note 7 or 1 SIM card and 1 x MicroSD card in the device.

As always, the Note 7 showcases the pinnacle of current mobile technology. Combined with the S-Pen - a precise and intuitive stylus - you have the benefits of a traditional pen or pencil merged with the digital world.
The Note7 has been re-engineered with a revised design to accommodate the dual-curved screen not previously seen on the Note series.
A rounded back allows you to comfortably hold the device in hand while using the S Pen.
Constructed from glass on the front and metal on the back, the two bend in unison creating a seamless, flush surface all around. This even makes it easier to pick up from a flat surface, the continuous edge feeling natural to pick up and hold.
Bezels are kept to a minimum to reduce the physical size as much as possible, whilst still providing encompassing a large screen experience.
The curved edges are just not for design, they are functional too. Built in software enhancements allow you quick access to apps and features, just from a quick flick.
The Note series have always been known for their large screens and the Note 7 is no exception.
Even though it is a very large 5.7” (measured diagonally), the screen is deceptively integrated into the body of the phone, which makes the whole handset seem smaller than it is and still sit comfortably next to others.
The result is increased space for viewing media, web pages or figures from a sales report, without feeling oversized or bulky.
With a Pixel Per Inch (PPI) count of 518, the detail of the screen is incredible. Samsung's Super AMOLED technology also makes colours really pop wirth stunning contrast and inky blacks.
The screen resolution is Quad HD (1440 x 2560) and there is the added benefit of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 - this provides added strength to protect the large screen from scratches and impacts.
Following the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the Note 7 is water resistant. This continues to the S Pen (and the silo it sits in) too.
Whatever the weather the Note7 can continue to be your mobile companion.
With an IP68 rating, the Note7 will survive immersion in fresh water at a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Even if you don't intend to get your device wet, this offers peace of mind should an unfortaunte accident happen - we've all heard horror stories!
Humans have used variations of the pen or pencil for thousands of years. As a tool it allows us to quickly take down information, with the versatliity of becoming a medium for artistic expression.
The S Pen is Samsung's modern equivalent. With each generation of the Note smartphone it develops and improves.
The aim is to do more, faster.
With the S-Pen you can write a shopping list, annotate a document or image or take memos in a meeting. A new feature even lets you take notes with the screen off!
You can even use the S-Pen to help edit video, translate text or magnify maps.
Thinner and more versatile
The new thinner tip is just 0.7mm, compared to the previous 1.6mm. This lets you interact more finely and creates a more comfortable and natural feeling feedback with the screen for writing and drawing.
Every note, memo, every image you selected and annotated with the S Pen are now saved into one place: the Samsung Notes app. This is also where you can find S Pen files transferred from your old phone via the Smart Switch app.
Artists have access to more brushes and the ability to mix colors - you can use the S Pen to draw and paint and share them directly to PEN.UP.
Screen Off Memos
No need to unlock your phone to jot down a note. Use the Screen-off Memo function to just take out the S Pen and start scribbling on the screen. If you need the note to be visible like a sticky note, pin it to your Always On Display screen and voila.
For those times when words aren't enough, create your own GIF.
Use the S Pen to select a section of a video and share it right away, either to just your friends or on social media. If it's a specific part of an image, text or web page, you can draw around the area you want and hit the share button. Just tap Smart Select from Air Command to begin.
Whether it's an incredibly extensive article or a very long image, Scroll Capture lets you save the entire piece as one file and add annotations, making life easier for everyone involved. It's as easy as pulling out the S-Pen and selecting Scroll Capture from Screen Write in Air Command.
Glance has minimised the steps you take when using two apps together. View the apps at the same time while you go back and forth just by hovering the S Pen over each app. This means you're able to read restaurant reviews on one app as you check directions on a map app, making life that much easier.
Whenever you need to take a closer look, hover the S Pen above the part you want to zoom in on and it will magnify just that part for you.
Get translations with just a hover of the S Pen. The ability to get instant translations of foreign words, even in images, means you only need to take a photo of a menu to put the S Pen to work.
The large screen on the Note7 makes this device perfect for all things media.
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and is often associated with cameras, but on the Note 7 you benefit from this with video playback.
It brings out the true light and contrast of the images. You see whiter whites, deeper blacks and incredible detail. You see the world as it should be seen. To experience HDR on your smartphone, you need a phone that's mobile HDR-compatible. Galaxy Note 7 is that phone.
Its highly advanced mobile image-processing engine takes image quality to the next level, the level of brightness and stunning detail that breathes life into what you see on the display.
Playing games on Galaxy Note7 is a whole different playing field because on the Galaxy Note 7, you get games running on Vulkan. And once you try them, there's no turning back because when Vulkan is in the game, so are you.
Your mobile phone holds a lot of information about you and others, thus it is only right that you protect it.
PIN codes or pass codes are one thing, but they are only so good. There are greater levels of protection, but it shouldn't be a hassle.
On the Galaxy Note iris scanning is available, which is one of the safest and most convenient ways to keep the Galaxy Note 7 and its contents protected.
The patterns of our irises are incredibly complex and no two irises are the same - even on the same person. Because iris authentication leaves no physical mark on the Galaxy Note7 it's impossible to replicate, making it one of the most secure ways to protect your data.
There is also a fingerprint scanner as an alternative and more convenient option for some. This is particularly useful when using the Note 7 to make payments on the go via Android or Samsung Pay applications.
Boundaries between work and life may be blurred, but files and apps can be kept strictly apart on Galaxy Note 7 with the Secure Folder. Use it to store private information that can only be accessed by you. Samsung's defence-grade Knox system will make sure it stays private. And since privacy is of utmost importance, you also have the option to make the Folder visible to only you.
Sporting the very latest in mobile connectivity options, the Note7 is 4G enabled and will work with most of the major networks around the world, with full compatibility with UK and EU networks.
Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, GPS are all present as is the new USB Type-C connector.
This new connector is fully reversible meaning there is no right or wrong way for the power or data cable to be connected, making your life easier.
The Galaxy Note 7 camera is fast and capable, in any light. It gives you the power to capture the best moments in life, even the ones you didn't plan. It's a camera that won't let you down.
Working like our own eyes; focusing on objects in a similarly fast and accurate manner. Its 12MP Dual Pixel Sensor coordinates with a brighter f/1.7 lens and larger 1.4µm pixels to take photos whenever and however your life happens, whether it's day or night, fast or slow.
When you want full control of the shot, of the peace that settles over a city at night or the electric white of the breaking waves, turn on Pro mode to manually tweak the settings. Be it adjusting the aperture or setting the white balance, Pro mode makes it simple and easy to take professional-level photos.
- ISO - Adjust the amount of light detected by the image sensor
- Shutter speed - Determine the amount of light that reaches the image sensor
- Exposure - Control the total amount of light the sensor captures
- Colour tone - Choose from a variety of preset image enhancers
- White balance - Adjust the colour temperature for accurate colours
- Focal length - Adjust the distance between lens and subject for clearer images
Galaxy Note7 is supremely focused when it comes to its camera. But being able to adjust the focus of the shot after it's been taken changes the game. Use Selective Focus mode to try out the focus on the foreground and background and find that truly perfect shot.
When you want to remember every detail, turn on 4K video. Because it's 4K, you're able to savor those sweet moments on the much bigger computer or TV screen without any compromise in image quality. Turn to 4K for those times that deserve to be remembered in higher resolution.
Sometimes it is good to slow down. When taking videos in slow motion mode the Galaxy Note7 camera automatically senses any singularities such as a sudden increase in your speed, a change in direction, and captures that moment in slow motion, making for incredibly compelling videos that demand your attention.
When you have captured so many great pictures you may want to tell a story and piece all of these bits together. The Galaxy Note 7 makes it easy to have more fun with your photos. Letting you select photos in your gallery to create an animated GIF on the spot or combining several of your photos into one photo collage. To make this whole process easier, the gallery menu is organised by tabs for swift and easy navigation. Images in the gallery are automatically grouped into different categories while letting you search for images with keywords.
Performance & Memory
With such capability and features, the Note 7 needs the underlying power and performance and this is built into the phone as standard.
The dual quad-core processors are 31% more powerful than the last generation and 4GB of RAM allows the Note 7 to keep up with all you need of it and then some.
64GB of internal memory can be expanded via the MicroSD card slot for those who need even more storage space.
Compared to the previous Note, the Note7 benefits from an additional 500 mAh taking the capacity of the built in battery to 3,500 mAh.
The battery is not removable but does benefit from fast charging, as well as wireless charging along with power saving technology built into Android.
There are also software enhancements made by Samsung, so even the most power hungry users who are always using their device to the full will find ways to ensure the battery performance and charging times work for you.
All of the great hardware needs great software and the Note7 runs Android OS.
An immensely powerful, customisable and developing platform, Android out of the box gives you complete access to Google Services but the ability to integrate and connect many more.
Applications such as Google Drive, Maps, YouTube, Gmail and more are installed as standard but with Play Store available you have access to hundreds of thousands of applications be those productivity, business or fun apps.
Add on your personal or business email accounts, share your mobile data connection, manage security options, add different users and customise how the device works for you.
Ever evolving and improving, the Note7 will receive an update to Android 7 (Nougat).
The Note 7 is a smartphone that thinks big and can assist you in achieving your goals and aspirations. The very latest in mobile technology hardware presented in a glorious form with cutting edge software enhancements that make the Note 7 and absolute masterpiece.
*Since September 2013, Samsung have implemented a 'region lock' on all new stock. Clove Technology only have access to models designed for the “European” region, which covers both UK and mainland Europe. The compatible countries are listed below**.
For correct operation, this handset should be activated inside one of these countries with a SIM card issued for use there. The device will then be able to accept SIM cards from outside of these countries.
Activation requires turning the device on for the first time & completing set-up with the SIM installed, then completing at least 5 minutes of voice call(s) with this SIM.
Without activation you may still use the device outside of these countries when 'roaming' - using a SIM card from the listed countries.
If this activation procedure is not followed then the device will lock when first attempted to be used with a SIM card from outside of these regions. Local Samsung support may provide a code to unlock such handsets.
**All member states of the E.E.A and the following additional territories: Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (F.Y.R.O.M), Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, Serbia and Vatican City.
IF YOUR CHOSEN DELIVERY COUNTY IS NOT LISTED, CLOVE TECHNOLOGY WILL BREAK THE SEAL ON THIS DEVICE AND ACTIVATE IT. YOU MUST AGREE TO THIS PROCEDURE IN THE CHECKOUT BEFORE THE SALE WILL COMPLETE.
