Samsung Galaxy S3 Black Overview

Demand for the S3 is evident, with a range of new features from Smart Stay to Pop Up Play to S Voice, the S3 not only builds on the S II but fills the gaps too.
Intuitive, capable and powerful are just 2 words you could use to describe this phone.
With a 4.8” display, it is big there is no denying that. However it is thin and the curved edges help reduce the feel of something that is overly big and difficult to use. It weighs just 133g and is 8.6mm thick.
HD is something that is all around us, you can not get away from the term so as you would expect, HD forms part of the Samsung Galaxy S III’s line up too.
It records video in full 1080p HD resolution, whilst capturing images with an 8 megapixel camera. You can watch this back on the 4.8” AMOLED display or connect is to a HD display if you like (adapter required). The AMOLED technology makes for a super crisp image with bright colours and an immersive viewing experience.
You need not worry too much about battery life as the S3 has a 2100mAh removable battery which will last even the most powerful of users most of the day.
At the heart of the S3 is Goole’s Android version 4.0 operating system. Pre-installed with apps such as Gmail, Maps, GTalk and Navigation you have everything you need to immerse yourself in the Android experience and remain connected on the move. In addition Samsung install a few of their apps on top for added functionality, including S Memo and Polaris Office for those who manage documents on their mobile. Of course Google Play store is included so you can download even more free and paid for apps and store them on the internal memory or microSDHC memory card in this device.
This version of the SGS3 comes with a whopping 64GB internal storage. In addition there is a microSD slot that supports up to 64GB memory cards, so you could have 128GB of memory on your phone or 178GB if you include the 50GB of cloud storage available to you from Dropbox.
A quad-core processor provides a super fast performance to ensure that everything you do happens instantly. No lag, no slow down in performance; this Samsung processor is more than capable of competing with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip found in other leading phones.
WiFi, 3G, NFC, DLNA it is all here. Front facing 1.9 megapixel camera for video calls, there is little the S3 is missing.
There is so much to the Samsung Galaxy S3 there is more to it than meets the eye. The following are some of the added enhancements you will find on the Galaxy S3.
Best photo - We have all missed that perfect shot at that special occasion. With the S3 you can automatically take a burst of 8 pictures and choose the best one.
Buddy photo share - Want your phone to intelligently recognise your friends faces in photos you have captured? If the answer is yes, then the Galaxy S III does this too. It recognises a friends face and allows you to share photos with them instantly.
Social tag- Social networks can be so important in keeping up to date with your friends. Social tag keeps track of loved ones, friends and family, showing their social network status as you glance at their photos.
Smart stay - This intelligent system keeps the backlight on the phone switched on until you are no longer using or are looking at the phone. No more annoying timeouts or having to tap the screen or press the power button so you can finish reading or watching what was on screen.
Direct call - The Galaxy S III is intelligent enough to know when you want to talk. You may be texting a friend and think, it might just be easier to call. Simply lift the phone to your ear and it will call the contact.
Smart alert - We all leave our phones on our desk or in a jacket pocket and sometimes forget that we have. We will pick it up at a later time but maybe not check for missed calls or messages. The Smart alert feature found on the Galaxy will give a gentle vibrating nudge to let you know if you have any messages or missed calls.
S Voice - An intelligent voice command system it responds to your words such as take a photo, wake up and answer. Making small and simple tasks that bit easier. Just say what you are thinking and the Galaxy S3 can help.
S Beam - It is the Google Beam service found in Android taken one step further. Simply place a Samsung Galaxy S III back to back with another Galaxy S III and you can transfer, without wires, pictures, music, videos and more.
Pop up play - Ever been relaxing watching a film on your phone but at the same time texting friends or wanting to browse the web? Kind of frustrating as multitasking can be difficult and you may have to continually pause or miss bits of the video content. Not any more. Pop up play allows you to do two things at once. The video content stays in a box which you can move around the screen to work with whatever else you are doing.
AllShare Cast - There might be times where the 4.8” Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S3 just isn’t big enough. For example when you want to share holiday photos, videos or a movie. Simply share it without wires to a big screen and use your Galaxy S III as a controller.
AllShare Play - You have no doubt left a file on a home computer when you are at work or thought it would be really handy if I could access something that you have stored on your home computer when somewhere else. With Samsungs AllShare Play you can access documents and multimedia files remotely, allowing you to achieve what you could not before.
A sophisticated smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S III offers a mobile experience like never before. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the most anticipated Android handset to date. It is a handset that everyone, Android user or not, will be itching to get their hands on.
